Ali and her team were wonderful in caring for my puppy child during my stay in maine. i worked as a nurse and cleopatra needed to be walked on the days i worked long hours. while at work i looked forward to my updates on cleo’s walks. ali would even send pictures if i asked for them. i also loved the fact that if the weather was bad they would spend time with her indoors so she could be out of her crate for a little while. i was very pleased with ali and her team and i give them 5 out 5 stars!

We always feel bad when we have to leave Ollie home for too long, but knowing that Ali is coming by to walk him is such a relief. He loves seeing her and we know that she takes great care of him. Ali has stayed with Ollie a few times when we have gone away on vacation as well, and we always return home to a happy dog. Getting daily updates after their walks or when we are away eases our minds. Finding someone you can trust with your best buddy is hard and we feel so lucky we found Ali a few years ago!

I moved to Portland ME over a year ago with my 2 dogs Murphy and Isabelle ages 14 and 13.  I found Tails and Trails and we had the pleasure of meeting Ali.  She has been more than just a dog walker to me and my dogs.  We have since lost Isabelle to cancer but Murphy is in LOVE and totally enjoys his walks especially when he gets to go with other buddies.  He can be a tough guy/grouchy old man but they love him anyways and go above and beyond just the walk around the neighborhood.  Love you guys!!!!

Ali is wonderful. She goes above and beyond and truly loves your dog. She not only takes your dog for walks, but gives belly rubs, and the extra attention your dog needs. She is also very flexible with my work schedule that sometimes changed and last minute needs. Tails and Trails has provided care for our dog and cat since our move to the Portland area two years ago. We have used Tails & Trails for day walks, weekend stop-ins and a long 10 day in-home stay and we could not be happier with the service provided by Ali.  With each visit the dogs have grown more attached to her and are thrilled to see her walk through the door.  Ali always provides regular updates on the pups so we never worry about what they are doing while we are away.  With the in-home stay it was great to know the dogs could be in their own comfort zone and upon our return the house looked just as we had left it with two very content dogs to great us!

Ali takes our energetic furball Murphy on walks every day during the week so that he can get some exercise and entertainment while we are at work.  Murphy LOVES Ali (and so do we!)  She is responsible, communicative, and takes very good care of our pup.  Even when Murph had a doggy emergency one day, Ali knew just what to do and handled the situation exactly as we would have, including getting in touch with us right away.  We have used lots of dog-walking or daycare services in the past and we are so impressed with Ali's service.

We've been lucky enough to have Ali as our go-to pet sitter for the last two years and are so thankful to have found her! She has cared for our German Shepherd rescue, Willett, and his neurotic Maine Coon sister, Macoun, dozens of times and never blinked at the challenges they threw her way (daily medicine! dire fear of skateboards! tipped over litter box!). Ali's daily updates and pictures always give us peace of mind and have become an unexpected highlight of our trips out of town. Whenever we get home Willett and Macoun are so relaxed and all of the little details one worries about when traveling (who will take the garbage to the curb? water the plants? bring packages in?) are taken care of. Ali has been such a great help to us and such a great friend to our pets - cannot recommend her highly enough!

Walter and I are so lucky to have found Tails and Trails! Ali is more than someone who comes to take your dog on a walk, she goes above and beyond. Ali sends me a check in text with each walk and occasionally a picture to go with (which is such a relief when you work 12 hours away from your dog). She always expresses any concerns or any changes in Walters behaviors that she may notice. The days Walter gets to go on walks with Tails and Trails it is definitely noticeable when I come home, no messes and always a happy pug. As a dog mom and home owner, I was very protective of Walter and was nervous about letting someone in my home while I was at work. From Ali’s first visit with our beloved dog, Nicolai, we knew that she would be an excellent caregiver, companion, and walking buddy. She is incredibly thorough and organized in getting to know new clients and is very communicative with us about her daily visits with our pup.
